Kentwood, MI – Violet Marie Mullins, 91, of Kentwood, MI formerly of Clay, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015.
Born December 2, 1923 in Clay, she was the daughter of the late Burton Franklin and Golda Mae Harrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Monroe Mullins, five brothers and one sister.
She was a deacon’s wife and a caretaker to many.
Violet will be missed and was greatly loved by her daughters, Shirley Mae Waber of Kalamazoo, MI and Donna Jean Gilchrist and her husband, John of Kentwood, MI; five grandchildren, Tracy, Leann, Jessie, Mike and Shawn; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ellis Harrison and Ralph Harrison.
Funeral service will take place at 1PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
