Steve Craig Goodwin

Steve Craig Goodwin, 70 , of Procious, passed away at his home on September 14, 2017 surrounded by hid loves ones. Steve was retired from Dominion Transmission Corp. as shift leader after 32 years of service. He volunteered at Gerald Freeman Camp ground at Sutton Lake for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ruby White Goodwin; brothers, Jerry and John Paul Goodwin. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diana ”Elaine” Goodwin of Procious; daughters, Christy Koch (Shane) of Palm Coast, FL, and Kimberly Skiles (Chad) of Hurricane; sons, Steve “O” Goodwin Jr. (Stephanie) of Procious and Brayden Goodwin at home; sister, Carole Pitts of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Jeremy, Sabrina, Hollie, Destinee, Samantha, Emily, Blake, Haylee and Olivia; and great grandson Cameron. Steve is a Christian and attended church in Dandridge, TN, at Fanchers Campground Church on Douglas Lake.

The family wants to express a special thanks to Kanawha Hospice of Charleston, WV, nurses and caregivers, Rod Burdette, Stephanie Goodwin, and Daisy Keen. A funeral service was held Sunday September 17, 2017 with Pastor Allen Jones officiating, and with special singing by Chad Skiles and Randy White, Ronald Tanner, David Tanner, and Kenneth Tanner. Burial followed in the White Cemetery Bomont, WV.
