Gauley Bridge, WV – Skyler Cheyenne Withrow, 17, of Gauley Bridge, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, at CAMC-General Division.
Born on December 22, 1995, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Brian Withrow of Alta and Lesa Garten of Gauley Bridge.
Skyler was a member of Mammoth Pentecostal Holiness Church and an upcoming senior at Valley High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her precious baby girl, Kenslee AnnMarie Withrow of Gauley Bridge; fiancé, John Withrow of Gauley Bridge; sister, Teagan Withrow of Alta; brother, Easton Withrow of Alta; grandma, Carol “Nan” Foster of Nicholas County; grandpa, Raymond Foster of Nicholas County; two best friends and sisters, Michaela Sheldon and Samantha Hight of Gauley Bridge; godfather, Dave Roop of Gauley Bridge; nana, Patsy Sullivan of Gauley Bridge; uncle, Kenneth Sullivan of Gauley Bridge; “mamaw”, Sue Thomas of Gauley Bridge and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that she loved dearly.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Louella and Burlan Vance and her “brother”, Gary Lee Floyd.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff at CAMC Women’s and Children’s and General Divisions for everything they did for us during this time of need.
It was Skyler’s wish to be cremated.
A celebration of life to honor Skyler was held on Saturday, August 24, 2013, from 4 to 7 pm at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge.
Burial will take place in Rich Creek Community Cemetery at a later date.
