Shirley Joyce Comer

Swiss, WV – Shirley Joyce Comer, 81, of Swiss, entered into rest January 14, 2014, at her home.

Born on February 9, 1932, in Letcher County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marino and Bessie Mobelline. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dencil Harold Comer.

She was a homemaker and a member of Swiss Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Comer of Swiss, Joseph Comer of Swiss, Sherry Roop and her husband, Richard, of Jodie, Terry Comer of Swiss, Kevin Comer of Swiss, Mark Comer and his wife, Valerie, of White Water, Timmy Comer and his wife, Mary, of Smithers and Chris Comer of Swiss; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service were 11 am Friday, January 17, 2014, at Sims United Methodist Church Cemetery, Swiss, with Reverend Stewart Stover officiating. There was no visitation.
