Robert “Bob” L. Bell

Charlton Heights, WV- Robert “Bob” L. Bell, 91, Charlton Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Oh.,
Born on June 5, 1924 in Carbondale, he was the son, of Clay and Nola Bell.  In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Eunice and nine siblings.
He was a proud veteran, serving in World War II as a navigator in the United States Army/Air Force.  A resident of Charlton Heights, Bob served as president of the Gauley National Bank in Charlton Heights, for many years, until retiring in 1987.
Bob is survived by his sons, Robert Bell and Julian Bell (wife, Robin); granddaughter, Mackenzie Bell; many beloved nieces, nephews and family members from the Derrick and Bell families and friends.
The family received friends and family from 10:00 AM to 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Pennington Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Charlton Heights, WV.
A service to celebrate his life immediately followed visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for cancer research be made in Bob’s honor to, The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, 460 West 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210 or online at cancer.osu.edu/giving-back.
