Rena L. Priddy, 97, of Bickmore, went home to be with Jesus on August 12, 2019, at Clay Health Care Center.

Born on October 2, 1921, in Braxton County, she was the daughter of the late Coach Stout and Tillie Brady Stout. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elmer Priddy; sons, David Priddy and Jimmy Priddy; daughters, Pam Priddy and Dottie;  brothers, Bunk Stout, Benard Stout, Frank Stout and Fred Stout; sisters, Mary Ripa, Pearlie, Bea Woods and Jean Cogar.

She was a homemaker and attended Leatherwood Baptist Church.  Rena was a recipient of the traveling West Virginia segment that aired on the local television station to showcase her wood carvings and she went to art shows to exhibit her art. She was an artist and loved making things out of wood. Another of her passions was sewing.  She made a lot of her own clothing.

Rena was of Cherokee Indian heritage and made sure to make people aware of this fact.  She was a Christian and loved the Lord and her family, praying for us daily.

She is survived by her sons; Chuck Priddy of Paint Creek and Danny Priddy of Indiana; daughters, Judy McGlothlin of Bickmore, Linda Finlayson of Ohio and Patty Casto of Culloden, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday August 15, 2019, at Hope Baptist Church in Frametown. Burial followed in the Frametown Family Cemetery.

Family was everything to her. We love and miss you Mom and Mamaw.
