Otto Thurman Workman

Otto Thurman Workman, 82, of Dog Run, West Virginia, awoke in the pearly white city with his mansion, harp, and his crown on Sunday May 9, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home in his favorite spot, his recliner.

Otto was a long-standing member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church where he served as song director until the day of his passing.

Otto is survived by his wife Wanda, daughters Robin Belt (David), Katrina Kessel (Bill), Anita Workman, Veronica Workman and Sheila Litton (Steven). Son James “Ed” Thorpe (Terri) Brother Charles Brady (Gail), Sister Evelyn Mcglothin (Buddy); grandchildren, Julie Horrocks (Mike), Aaron Belt (Shonna), Autumn Frame (Mikey), Josh Pierson, Ashli Davis (Drew), Kimber Thorpe, Sidnee Caruthers (Tyler), Whitney Dilworth (Joey), Gracie Brady, and Serena Degrandis. Otto also had fourteen great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur “Day” and Alta Brady; brothers Curtis Workman and James “Hollie” Brady; son, Eric Thorpe; and granddaughter Amber Workman.

A graveside service was held Thursday May 13, 2021, at 11 am at Scott Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Litton officiating.
