Opal Mae Morton

Indore, WV- Opal Mae Morton, 85, of Indore, entered into Heaven on August 8, 2013, after many happy years at Laurel Nursing Center, Big Otter.
Born April 5, 1928, in Indore she was the daughter of the late James Bernard and Bessie Holcomb Legg. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her baby brother, James and 2 great grandsons Michael and Evan.
She was a born again Christian who looked forward to attending church services and singing hymns, her favorite being “Precious Memories”. She was a faithful friend who enjoyed socializing and participating in activities at the nursing home, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Opal is survived by her 4 daughters, Anna Mae (Edward) Nichols of Brighton, MI, Wanda Lassetter of Jackson, SC, Judy (J.R.) Mullins of Louisville, KY and Reba (Brent) Legg of Bickmore, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandsons, brothers Harold (Pearl deceased) Legg of Beckwith, Billy (Sandra) Legg of St. Albans, sister, Norma (Lee deceased)Friend of Tornado and Genevie (Lionel) Nicholas ) of Hermitage, PA.
Funeral service was held 2:30 pm Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Middle Creek Baptist Church, Bickmore, with Minister Dennis Legg officiating. Burial was in the Cline Cemetery, Indore.
