Jonathan Foster Brown
Mount Vernon, OH– Jonathan Foster Brown, 53, of Mount Vernon, OH, entered into rest Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
Born June 30, 1963, in Takoma Park, MD, he was the son of Gale and Delores (Hintz) Brown of Indore.
John was a teacher and head wrestling coach for 20 years at Mount Vernon High School.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Robert) Brown of Mount Vernon, OH; two daughters, Haley Ray Brown of Dublin, OH., and Lexi Lillian Brown of Mount Vernon OH; sister, Patricia (Kevin) Conley of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Dr. James (Rhonda) Brown of Charleston and Richard (Aldrea) Brown of Avalon, PA.
A celebration of Life was held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Vineyard Church of Knox County, 806 Harcourt Rd, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 .
Service followed calling hours at the church.

Dorothy Mae Hess
Jodie — Dorothy Mae ( Harvey) Hess, 98, of Jodie, went home to be with the Lord December 30, 2016, at Montgomery General Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born on December 27, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John Scott Harvey and Martha (Morton) Harvey.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lovell Hess; and son, Homer Andrew Hess.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Nancy King of Greenville, SC, Carole Sue Compson (Ernie) of Clifton, NV, Judith Samples (George) of Seville, OH, Dreama Truman (Roger) and Phyllis Painter both of Jodie; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful mother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family
Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2016. at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Ministers Daniel Sears and Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial followed in the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, WV.
Friends gathered with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Anna Mae Huffman
Ivydale– Anna Mae Huffman, 53, of Rush Fork, Ivydale, entered into rest Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Born May 16, 1963, in Grantsville, WV, she was the daughter of the Madiline (Blake) Starkey of Grantsville and the late Willard Starkey. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Patricia Lee-Ann Huffman, and brother, Lewis “Bud” Starky.
In addition to her mother, Anna is survived by her son, Brian Huffman of Martinsburg; daughters, Amber Huffman of Ivydale and Tiffany Huffman of Spencer; grandchildren, Autumn Lynn Fisher and Summer Ann Huffman, both of Ivydale, Hannah Knight and Scotty Knight both of Five Forks, and Heaven Huffman of Parkersburg; brother, David Starkey of Grantsville; sisters, Deloris “Jean” Starkey of NC, Shirley Hosey of Grantsville, Mellissa Starkey of Spencer and Lisa Foulkes of Elizabeth; she is also survived by a special aunt, Patricia Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Shane Wynn officiating.

Hester Aileen (Price) Mink
Bickmore– Hester Aileen (Price) Mink, 84, of Bickmore, entered into rest on December 27, 2016.
Born August 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ida (Legg) Price.
Aileen worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, and was a member of Fola Missionary Baptist Church and Dixie First Baptist Church.
Aileen is survived by her son, Joseph Mink of Ligonier, IN; daughter, Lisa Franco of Fola, WV; brothers, Shannon Price of Massillon, OH, and Arnold Price of Canton, OH; sisters, Annetta Knapp of Hammerlock, NC, and Gail Dunn of Fola; five grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 6 p.m., with service at 7:30 p.m., on December 29, 2016, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV.
