Nelson Keith King

Nelson Keith King, 91, of Lizemores, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Born October 17, 1925, in Elkhurst, he was the son, of the late Herbert and Fonda (Blake) King.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie S. King, second wife, Marcie Nichols; son, Kenton King; and brother, Kreig King.

He was a retired maintenance manager for Union Carbide at Alloy and a faithful member and Trustee of Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

Keith is survived by his wife, Magdalene Moore King, of Lizemores; daughters, Karen and the late John McConihay of Cross Lanes and Kaye (Rick) Lakin of Canonsburg, KY; and daughter-in-law Mary Kathryn King of Lizemores;  five grandchildren, David (Kristin) King, John Keith(Carrie) McConihay, Kirsten (Roger) Hanshaw, Mary Elizabeth Seiber and Andrew Lakin; and six great-grandchildren; brother, Kent King of Ivydale; step-children, Brenda Bernie of Beckwith, Ebbie Morton of Victor, Roger (Nina) Morton of Bentree, David Morton of Maysel, Judy (Bill) Morris of Bentree, Debbie (Nathan) Johnson of Bentree and Vicky (Curt)  Morris of Glenburnie, Maryland; 18 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held  1 p.m., Monday, April 24, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, with Ministers Jason Moore and BJ Evans and Naaman Morre officiating.  Burial will be in Clay Memorial Gardens, Clay.

Friends may gather with family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at the funeral home.
