Nathanial Lane “Cheese” Kinter

Nathanial Lane “Cheese” Kinter, 40, of New Martinsville, WV passed away on Wednesday July 5, 2023 at his mother and sister’s home while recuperating from a long illness. 

Nathan is preceded in death by his dad, Harry Summers; his brother, Daniel Summers; and both maternal grandparents, Camillien “Frenchy” and Arlene Cloutier all of Wallback, WV. 

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Kinter Lyons of Clay; sisters, Natasha Kinter of Clay and Tiffany Kinter of Chloe; two step-sons, Sabastian and Shiloh Rush of New Martinsville; daughter, Shaelyn Kinter, and son, Spencer Kinter, both of New Martinsville; step dad, Thomas Lyons Jr. of Big Otter, WV; several special nieces, nephews, and cousins; his “Ride or Die” cousin Floyd (Megan) Cunningham of Gassaway, WV; aunts Marieanna Cloutier Bourne of Wallback, Kimberly Amino of Indiana, PA; and Uncle Joe Cloutier of Arnoldsburg ,WV; and scores of friends. 

Nathan worked as a shipping manager for several years and really enjoyed his job. He was a jack of all trades on the job site. He had done everything from driving the forklift to delivering goods and scheduling shipments. He enjoyed his coworkers and everyone he was required to connect with on a daily basis.  

Nathan lived his life for his children. He was happiest when he got to spend time with them and everything he did was with his children in mind. 

Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday July 10, 2023 at Smith Cemetery at 104 Hallsburg Rd, Duck WV 25063 

Donations are greatly appreciated and there is a GoFundMe account to help with Nathan’s burial services.
