Newton, WV – Lucy Harold, 70, of Newton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, July 18, 2015, after her battle with cancer.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Robert Harold; five children, Anita Holley of Glen, Angela Carver of Newton, Andrea Jett of Walton, Anthony Harold and Andrew Harold both of Newton; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Anna Patterson (Fred) of Clay.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Emma Cummings McKinney and father, Shirley Oscar McKinney.
Lucy was born April 4, 1945 at Widen. She was a retired school bus driver for the Roane County Board of Education. A devout Christian, she faithfully attended church until her illness stopped her.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Edward E. Young officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Uler. Friends may call two hours before the funeral.
