Loretta Jean Jett, 79, a resident at Heartland of Marietta, OH,  passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 14, 1940 in Amma, Roane County, a daughter of the late Darrell and Mary Ann Chapman Moore.

Jean was a Baptist by faith. She worked as a waitress, house keeper, and in-home health care.

She is survived by a daughter Bonnie I. Schrebe (Bill) of Belpre, Ohio; two sons, Dewey A. Jett (Betty) of Independence, Ohio, and Steven R. Jett (Ruthie) of Seven Hills, Ohio; two brothers, Bobby and Monnie Hall, both of Amma, West Virginia; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and her dog Sam.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband Dewey R. Jett, April 25, 2018; one daughter, Barbara Ann Kincaid; five brothers and sisters, and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio. A gathering of family and friends was held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A graveside service followed at 3 p.m. at Jett Cemetery in Roane County, West Virginia.
