Lizemores — Lawrence Denver Truman, 75, of Lizemores, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 11, 2017, at CAMC General Hospital surround by his loving family.
Born on August 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Ira and Ethel (Darlington) Truman.
Denver was a member of Laurel Fork Missionary Baptist Church and attended Vaughan Baptist Church.
Denver is survived by his loving wife, Maysel M. (Holcomb) Truman; sons, Michael Truman (Carrie McGrew) of Clay, Kevin (Janice) Truman of Prince George, VA, and Jonathan (Connie) Truman of Bickmore; brother, Menford (Shirley) Truman of Richwood; sisters, Hilda Walker of Elkview and Helen (Naamon) Moore of Lizemores; and five grandchildren, Seth, Chase, Lucas, Tristen and Gathan.
Denver will be sorrowfully missed by his family and all that knew him.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday May 15, 2017, at Vaughan Baptist Church, Vaughan, WV, with minister Naamon Moore and minister Earl Elliott officiating. Burial followed in the Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, WV.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Sunday May 14, 2017, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV.
