Jessie Dewayne Carte obit

Procious, WV – Jessie Dewayne Carte, 52, of Procious, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014.

Born January 13, 1962 in Charleston, he was the son of the late Herbert “Dick” and Wanda (Chapman) Carte.

He loved his friends, nieces and nephews, admired old cars, and looked forward to anyone stopping by to visit.  Jessie lived his life to the fullest always saying “I live the life most men dream of”; he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his brother, Mike and Tina Carte of Elkview; sisters, Lisa Carte and Jr Campbell of Elkview, Rebecca Hess of Coal River Road; 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 step-nieces and 1 step nephew, several great nieces and nephews, and his cat, Chuck

The family wishes to thank the staff of CAMC Memorial, MICU, especially Dr. Rhodes, Dr. Ajaz, Dr. Eggeston and the MICU nurses, Joe, Michael, Hailee, Chastity, and Travis for all of their love and care and all who came and called to comfort him at the hospital.

Per Jessie’s wishes his body will be cremated.

A memorial service was held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Poca Fork Baptist Church, Frame, with Rev. Wayne Stewart officiating.  His ashes will be buried at a later date in the Carte-Osborne Family Cemetery, Wills Creek.

In lieu of flowers family suggest donations be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City OK 73123-1718 or call 1-800-227-2345.
