Jeanittie Helen Huckleberry

Meadville, PA — Jeanittie Helen Huckleberry, age 78, of Meadville, PA, passed on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was born on May 27, 1938, in Procious, WV, the daughter of the late Horus Rhodes and Isabella Starcher Rhodes. Jeanittie married Harold Floyd Huckleberry on December 30, 1957; he preceded her in death on November 11, 2011.

Jeanittie worked for C & J Industries and DIC Tools where she was a mold operator. She was of the Baptist faith. Jeanittie enjoyed going out to eat, spending time with her family, going to West Virginia, and attending yard sales. She loved flowers, birds, butterflies, and her grandchildren.

Jeanittie is survived by two daughters, Beverly June Betts of Meadville, and Ruth Woodcock and her husband Larry of Meadville; six grandchildren, Terry Huckleberry, Jennifer Huckleberry, Rosie Woodcock, Jason Woodcock, Chris Molnar, and Harold Betts; six great-grandchildren, Landon Hippo, Heaven Hippo, Dora Earls, Claira Earls, Memory Woodcock, and Wyatt Huckleberry; three brothers, Terry Rhodes, Ronnie Rhodes, and Oliver Rhodes, all of Clay County; four sisters, Francis White, Kitty Collins, Vera Truman, and Kim Brown, all of Clay County; a brother-in-a-law, Earl Huckleberry; and two sisters-in-law; Katherine Hosick and Betty Houston. Jeanittie is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanittie is preceded in death by two sons, John Huckleberry and Samuel E. Huckleberry; two sisters, Audrey Starcher and Aretta Dennis; and a brother, William Clendenin.

Family and friends called on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335, with Pastor Cliff Forbes of the New Beginnings Church of God officiating.

Interment took place at Kingsley Cemetery in Townville, PA.
