Jack Walker

Orrville, OH – Jack Walker, 63, of Orrville, OH passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, following a brief illness. He was born on February 6, 1952, in Newton, West Virginia, to the late Donald and JoAnn (Nichols) Davisson. Following high school, Jack worked for Dairy Farm Products in Orrville. Following their closing, he worked for Reiter Dairy until his retirement in 2003 in order to care for his parents.
He loved spending time with his family, and with his dogs Bailey, Sam, and Spanky, and spending time at the family home in West Virginia. Anyone who knew Jack knew how much he loved the game of basketball, whether it was playing at Orr Park, or watching basketball on TV. He was an honest, hardworking man whose orneriness always had an ability to make others laugh. He would be the first to help a neighbor out by mowing their yard or shoveling their walkways. He also enjoyed shooting pool with his kids, and was a friend to everyone he met.
He is survived by his sons Chad (Michelle) Walker of Charlotte, NC, and Scott (Jessica) Walker of Hilliard; Daughter Wendy Walker of Orrville; Brother Michael Thomas Walker of Orrville; Sister Dawn (Danny) Fitzwater of Clay, WV; Grandchildren Kaylie, Alex, Mikayla, Austin, and Brody Walker, and Mckenzie Graves; Best friend and mother of his children Kay Gift of Westerville; Nieces Shawna, Angela, Sarah, Gracie; several great nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Grandma Ruby Boss; Grandparents Mary and Brooks Davisson; Aunts, Bobbi McHenry, and Sis Tawney; Niece Kathryn Adkins and great niece Rachel Adkins. Funeral services were held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville. Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery. Casual clothing will be appreciated and friends may call from 5¬8 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home. For online register book, obituary, condolences, please visit www.aublefuneralhome.com
