Jack R. Sergent

Dunbar, WV – Jack R. Sergent, 83, of Dunbar, WV passed away on August 22, 2015 in Charleston, WV. He was born on October 11, 1931 to the late Jessie James and Thelma (Barnett) Sergent.
Jack served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War.
He is survived by a son: Wayne Sergent of FL, and a daughter: Jacqueline Sergent of PA and sisters: Joan Meadows, and Jessie Blankenship of LA. He had a large extended family, including 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sister-in-laws.
A heartfelt thanks go to the doctors and nurses at CAMC Memorial.
Services will be held at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, WV. On Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, WV.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Pennington Funeral Home from 12 to 1 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family would like for you to please consider an online donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jack Sergent’s memory.
