Hobert G. Cook

Hobert G. Cook, 89, of Clay, formerly of Spencer, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

He was the son of the late Elton Charles and Rema Cook.

Survivors include his loving wife, of 63 years, Dolly; daughters, Pam (Gary) Drake of Clay and Tammy Conley of Richwood, WV; grandchildren, Philip (Becky) Conley of Daniels, WV, Daniel (Kayla) Conley of Columbia, SC, Amanda Rhodes of Arlington, TX, and Elizabeth (Matthew) Davis of Maysel, WV; great grandchildren, Sam, William, Avah, Joannah, Malachi and Zion; brother, Denvil Cook of Spencer; sisters, Arbutus Carr of Parkersburg, WV, Joyce Gunter of Elkview, WV, and Irene Cook of Scott Depot, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.

He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Spencer and also attended the Clay First Baptist Church, Clay. Hobert was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Pipetrades Union Local #625.

A service was held on Saturday, September 23, at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Visiting Pastor Gary Drake and the Rev. Theron Durham will be conducted the service. Burial followed in the Clover Cemetery, Clover, WV.
