North Hills, WV -Helen Esther (Hoffman) Summers, 88 of North Hills, WV, formerly of Boutte Louisiana, passed away January 17, 2016 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Clendenin, WV, March 21, 1927 a daughter of the late Hubert E. and Clara Esther Hoffman.
She was a Devout Christian and a member of The Luling Bible Center Church.  She was the worlds’ best mom and was absolutely passionate about fishing and outdoor activities.
She is survived by her sons William V. Summers Jr (Lynn) of North Hills and Richard L. Summers (Sylvia) of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, William V. Summers III (Stephanie) of Thornton, CO, Jason A. Summers of Huntersville, NC, and Benjamin T. Summers (Alyson) of Vienna, WV; six great and wonderful grandchildren, Gabriel, Noah, Kayleigh, Nathan, Jack, and Anthony and her best friend  Bernice Gilbert of Boutte, Louisiana.   She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert Hoffman and Clara Esther Hoffman, stepmother Faye Hoffman; husband of 64 years, William V. Summers, three sisters, Ellen, Virginia, and Patty Sue, and one brother, Junior.
Graveside services were Monday 1:00 PM at Cunningham Memorial Park Saint Albans, WV, with Gary Johnson officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Family Life Center PO Box 5099 Vienna, WV 26105.
