Hazel Murl Friend Walker Nicholson

Wooster, OH – Hazel Murl Friend Walker Nicholson, 86, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 27, 1928 in Ivydale, West Virginia, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Fitzwater Friend.
She was a homemaker who loved her kids and grandkids. Hazel collected dolls, loved to cook and shop and was a bargain hunter. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Karol Walker of Wooster, Linda Rogers of Gurley, Alabama, Judy Walker of Wooster, Brenda (William) Isleib of Friendswood, Texas, Brad Walker of Wooster, Deanna (Jody Cole of Mansfield and Clarence Thomas Nicholson, Jr. of Wooster and a grandson who was raised by them, Paul Douglas (Kendra) Walker of Wooster; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Paul Friend of Akron, Faye Baker of Wooster, Marshall (Roann) Friend of Wadsworth and Leo (Jackie) Friend of Louisiana
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Thomas Nicholson, Sr. on March 14, 2014, a daughter, Deborah Rodgers, and siblings Ilo Griffith, Evalyn Murphy and Opal Weiler.
Friends were received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 2 hours prior to the 12:00 noon service on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 with LifeCare Chaplain Bob Grover officiating. Burial was in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at Rittman at 1:45 p.m.
Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
The family would like to thank everyone associated with LifeCare Hospice for their loving care.
