Eugene Osborne McDaniel

Dixie, WV – Eugene Osborne McDaniel, 94, of Dixie, entered into rest February l8, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital.

Born on May 21, 1919, in Jodie, he was the son of the late John Roy and Nettie Hunter (Williams) McDaniel. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wives, Gracie Leah (Kiser) McDaniel and Nancy Ruth (Sizemore) McDaniel and his son, Clyde Eugene McDaniel.

He was retired from Union Carbide Maintenance Department/Alloy, a member of the Christian Church of Lizemores, a member of the VFW and a World War II Navy veteran, having served in the South Pacific.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Bob Fink of Gauley Bridge; 5 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren.

Funeral service was noon Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with Reverend Thurman Sizemore officiating. Burial followed in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
