Erma Wilda Connor

Erma Wilda Connor, 89, died at home October 31, 2013, after a long illness. She was born November 25, 1923, the daughter of the late Benjamin Hamrick and Ocie Bleakney Hamrick.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Junior Ray Connor and brothers, Carsel, Clarence, Clayton and Howard Hamrick. She is survived by sons, James “Smokey” and wife Kaaren, Ben and wife Cathy, Don and wife Carolyn all of Sutton, Jerry of Huntington, John and wife Dianne of Greenville, Virginia and Gene and wife Becky of Vienna,
WV; daughters, Shirley Salisbury and husband, Bill, and Patricia Given and husband, Marty, all of Sutton; brothers, Dale Hamrick and wife Shirley of Sutton and Keith Hamrick and wife Wanda of Widen. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, five step grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and three step great-great-grandchildren.
Friends called at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. and services were held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Burial was in the Canfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Box 323, Burnsville, WV 26335.
Greene-Robertson Funeral Home is humbled to serve the Connor family.
