Linden, WV – Elizabeth “Kay” Mcquain, 72, of Linden, West Virginia died June 13, 2016 at her home.
She was born October 2, 1943 in Clay County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Lloyd and Velma “Mackie” Davis. Kay loved working in retail and worked most recently at Fruth Pharmacy. She formerly worked at GC Murphys, Factory Outlet and Ashley’s Outlet, all in Spencer, West Virginia. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, gardening and fishing and attended the Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Frank McQuain; three daughters, Charlotte Gombos and her significant other, Allen, of Fairplain, West Virginia, Paula Kay Ash of Spencer, and Marie Ash and her husband, Rick, also of Spencer; one son, Frank, Jr. and his wife, Michele of Spencer; two sisters, Imogene Runnion of Clay and Sharon Ann Miller of Ohio; three brothers, Lloyd Davis, Jr. and James Davis, both of Clay, and Larry Davis of Glenville, West Virginia; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Laxton.
Service was held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Homer Hensley officiating. Burial was in the Clover cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
