Dixie, WV – Elizabeth “Camay” Morris Achtemichuk, 79, passed away at her home in Dixie on Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Born July 7, 1935, she was the oldest daughter of the late Sterling and Berniece Morris of Dixie, WV. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband and father to her four children, John Lee Ward III of Kanawha Falls, WV; her second husband, Paul Achtemichuk of Rhein, Saskatchewan in Canada; son, John Lee Ward III and great-grandson, Christopher Allen Roop.

She was a 1952 graduate of Clay County High School and a graduate of Parkersburg Community College, where she earned an AA degree and an AAS degree in social work.

Elizabeth is survived by her three sisters, Carol Browning of Mason, Naomi Lampenin and husband Madis of Glen Rock, PA and Charlene Legg of Nitro, three children, Jaci Barker of Kanawha Falls, Robert Ward and wife April of Gauley Bridge and Tina Hudnall of Twenty Mile Creek Road.

She leaves a legacy in her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Bell Creek Baptist Church in Dixie, with Pastor Shane Wynn officiating.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
