Dewie R. Jett, 83, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away in the presence of his family on April 25, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.  Mr. Jett was born at Pigeon, Roane County, WV, a son of the late Jacob M. and Mary F. Reynolds Jett.

He was an Army veteran post Korea and was Baptist by faith.  Mr. Jett was a steelworker at Cortland Container and also worked in the timber industry.  He had been employed at several canneries in New York State and was a Pinkerton company security specialist. Dewie enjoyed auto mechanics and was an avid gardener and hunter.

Surviving Mr. Jett, is his wife of sixty-two years, Jean Moore Jett; one daughter, Bonnie I. Schrebe (Bill) of Belpre, Ohio; two sons, Dewey A. Jett (Betty) of Independence, Ohio and Steven R. Jett (Ruthie) of Seven Hills, Ohio; two sisters, Locie Goodwin and Orpha Adkins; several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his pet dog and good companion Sam.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jett was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ann Kincaid, ten brothers and sisters and one great granddaughter Ryleigh Illeen Hawk.

A memorial service was conducted Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio with Chaplain Dave Kaufman officiating.
