Indore, WV -Della Bird Truman, 98, Matriarch of the Truman/Bird Clan of Indore, passed away at the home of Billy and Sharon Truman of Indore, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 after a long illness.

Della was homemaker, and raised 12 children.  She enjoyed quilting, canning, gardening, hunting ginseng, and hunted for her last deer at the age of 88.  She especially enjoyed all the kids and grandkids for Sunday morning breakfasts. It was nothing to see 25 or 30 at her table at any given time.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ronald and Connie Lay for all their weekly visits and kind words to our mother.  They meant the world to her.  We would also like to thank Dr. Bhirud and the staff of Montgomery General Hospital for the wonderful care while in the hospital, also to Trista Rush and the nursing staff at Hospice for their kind and loving care during her final days.

Funeral service was held 2:00 Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Community Missionary Baptist Church, Sycamore.  Burial was in the Sanders Cemetery, Indore.
