Charles E. Fitzwater

Dixie, WV – Charles E. Fitzwater, 86, of Dixie, entered into rest Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Born March 14, 1928, he was the son of the late Homer and Stella Fitzwater. In addition to his parents Charles was also preceded in death by his sister, Elsie Friend, brothers Byron and Curtis Fitzwater.

He was retired from Elkem Metals.

Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara June Fitzwater of Dixie, daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Danny Foster of Craigsville, granddaughters, Amy and Mark Reed of Hico, Brandi and Matt Turner of Oak Hill, grandson, Casey Foster of Craigsville, great-grandchildren, Ashton Reed of Hico, Bretton Turner and Brynlee Turner both of Oak Hill, brothers, James Fitzwater of Morristown, TN, Versal and Sharon Fitzwater of Bridgeport, sister, Nina Barnes of Mansfield, OH.

Funeral service was held 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Geoff Hamrick officiating. Burial was in Cline Cemetery, Indore.

Friends called 2 hours prior to the service.
