Carole Ann Douglas, born in Ivydale, WV, on September 22, 193,7 passed away in Akron, OH, on July 21, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Myrtle Douglas, and brother-in-law George Hall.

She was the loving mother of Jeff; Dearest grandmother to Ashley and Robert; loving and dear sister of Gwendelyn Hall of St. Petersburg, FL., Marilyn (Richard) Thomas of Pinehurst, N.C., Ella Kay Lakhia of Green, OH., Tye (Harold) Batthauer of Decatur, IL., and Cosby (Richard) Gutt of Glastonbury, CT.; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Sam (Mamta) Lakhia.

Carole was a proud member of the Daughters of America for years, representing the State of Ohio as the State Counselor on three separate occasions. She enjoyed assisting the elderly as an in-home caregiver and the senior activities of Tallmadge Acres in the many outings and her card group. Her favorite holiday was Christmas time.

In lieu of flowers, Carole would appreciate you supporting her favorite charities through Veterans organizations and St Jude Hospital.

A Memorial Service took  place on Wednesday, July 26, in the Walters Funeral Home at Rose Hill. Inurnment followed at Rose Hill Burial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rosehillbp.com
