Andy Moore

Andy Moore, 40, of Duck, entered into rest on Friday, August 11, 2023.

He was born in Gassaway on May 11, 1983 to Opal Duffield of O’Brion and the late Dallas Nelson Moore, Jr. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Okla and Callie Duffield and Dallas and Margaret Moore; an infant child; uncle, Donald Moore; and cousin, Lance McCracken. 

Andy was a 2001 graduate of Clay County High School.  He worked for Asplundh, Penn Line, and Slurry Pavingand also did some independent roofing.   He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His pride and joy was his children and he loved to play outside with them. 

He will be forever remembered by his mother, Opal Duffield of O’Brion; the love of his life for the last 12 years, Emmajean Richards; daughters, Hannah Moore, Emmaleigh Moore, Aerolyn Moore, Jaycee Moore; stepdaughters, Danielle Richards and Ashley Richards, both of Morgantown; brother, Justen Duffield and wife, Samantha of Mill Creek; twin sister, Kandy Nida and husband, Joe, of Charleston; sisters, Michelle Hamrick and husband, Allen of Maysel, and Misty and Mandy of Charleston; nephew, Dr. Lucas Hamrick; nieces and nephews, family and friends. 

His visitation was held from 3 to 4 P.M. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. 

A graveside service will follow in the John Duffield Cemetery, Duck with Geoff Hamrick officiating.
