Beginning Beekeeping class offered at New River Community and Technical College’s Nicholas County Campus, starting on Feb. 22. Fred Williams, a local and experienced beekeeper, will lead the class on Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. from Feb. 22 through March 21 at the WorkForce building, 830 Northside Drive in Summersville. Elk Conservation District annual plant and tree sale, a service to the residents of Braxton, Clay, Nicholas and Webster counties. The Clay County WIC Office located at 452 Main Street in Clay is open to serve the public every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 am – 4 pm. The office will be closed Monday, January 18 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) is a supplemental foods program for pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding women, infants and children, under the age of five.
