After taking a hit on the chin strap at Braxton last week, the Mustang football team came with a head of steam to take on Summersville Middle school. The Mustangs are on a rebuild year with many of the players being inexperienced. The game was a tough one for the Mustangs. The running game of Summersville Middle was the piece of straw that broke the Mustangs’ back as the Mustangs found it difficult to stop their running game, and they put 30 points on the board against the Mustangs in the first part of the game. Moving the ball offensively was equally as difficult for the Mustangs except for one Mustang touchdown that was questionably called back on a penalty. However, once the Mustangs got their head in the game, the defense shut down all scoring by Summersville. The final score was 0-30, Summersville. The Mustangs will host Richwood at home this Thursday night with a game time 6:00 pm. The Mustangs will have an opportunity to notch a win and regain their Mustang glory.
