The Mustang wrestling team has ended their season at the regional tournament held at Summersville Middle School this past Saturday. This has been a year for rebuilding the team at CCMS. They have gone from a few of them having wrestling experience to being a powerhouse. The boys did very well at the tournament and placed almost all of the wrestlers on the podium at the end of the day. Team wise, they didn’t win the tournament but was on the podium with a third place team finish, it is only a matter of time till they will be on top. However, individually it was Joel Cruickshanks and Jeremiah Brown who took first place at the top of the podium as champions. Brice Hager and Joe Sears took second, Trey Sams took third, Riley Perkins and Daniel Mollohan took fourth and Richard Triplett took fifth. The Mustangs ended the season very well and will be back as a wrestling powerhouse next season. Congratulations to the coaches and the team. Congratulations also to the CCHS wrestling team for grabbing three individual championships at the WVSSAC LKC tournament at Braxton. They also had a second place finish and a fourth place. Their Regionals will be held in two weeks.
