It was the final get together of the season for the Lady Panther volleyball team. The annual volleyball banquet was held in the cafeteria at the high school on Sunday. There was quite a turnout as family, friends and fans came out to celebrate the Lady Panthers and a season that could only be bested by a state championship. A king’s banquet was prepared for everyone courtesy of the team families. When bellies were full, it was time to give out awards in recognition of the efforts put forth by the Lady Panthers. The team was the first sports team to reach a State Championship level game in school history. When ratings begin next year the Lady Panthers will be rated #1 in state AA because of their outstanding season. A great accomplishment for the team and Coach Todd Samples. As Coach Samples stated, most teams are already getting started on next year’s season and plan to knock the Lady Panthers from the top of the food chain. So, if the team wants to get that title next year, the ending of this season begins the climb back up the ladder.
