It
was a midday of glamour as the annual Clay Golden Apple Festival Children’s Pageant took place at the Clay High School auditorium. Girls came from all over to compete for the trophies. It was some of the stiffest competition to ever grace the stage. The pageant seemed to go off without a hitch. Pageant director Elizabeth Taylor put together a great pageant along with the inspiration from festival brass. All seemed to have a good time, win or lose. Congratulations to the new Pageant winners. I’m sure that I speak for everyone in saying that this pageant would not have been possible without the help of all those who were behind the scenes getting everything ready so it would go off without a hitch. To those, a big thanks is appropriate. They made it all come together for some girls whose dream is to one day be a queen. Once again, congratulations to the new Clay Golden Delicious Festival royalty. Some of the winners were-Prettiest Smile- Alenah Adkins, Prettiest Eyes- Savanna Myers, Personality – Jaden Starcher, Best Fashion – Olivia Tanner, Photogenic – Abby Withrow, Fan Favorite – Mikayla Childers. Lil Miss Golden Delicious was Emily Short, Miss Golden Delicious Preteen was Abbigail Withrow, Jr. Miss Golden Delicious was Hannah Davis, Golden Delicious Blossom was Rihanna Carte, Lil Mr. Golden Delicious Seedling was Jaden Miller, Miss Golden Delicious Seedling was Libby Dawson, Mr. Golden Delicious Seedling was Creed Ramsey, and Lil Miss Golden Delicious Seedling was Brylee Holbrook.
