Atha is a 9th grader at CCHS and is well on her way to becoming a state champion in cross-country. On Thursday she proved to any doubters that she is a force to be reckoned with placing 4th running a 20:44 time, just tenths of a second behind 3rd.
The Lady Panther Cross Country team will be running in the regional championship this weekend. It’s entirely possible they could bring home the top honors.
For the CCMS team Holden Reed placed 3rd in the CWVAC tournament. The same thing could be said of Holden; he is a powerhouse runner and will only get better as time goes on. He was also awarded the 1st Team All-Conference award.
Congratulations to these runners, and who knows, they may possibly be the next CCHS state champions.
