A new West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has been opened in neighboring Nicholas County. Located at 2 Armory Way in Summersville, the 9000 square foot 2.8 million dollar facility will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Services offered at the location include registration, titling, plates, and driver’s licensing tests and renewals.
“I’m pleased to say the people of Nicholas County will no longer have to travel to Flatwoods or Beckley to reach a DMV office,” said Tomblin. “The Summersville DMV is open, offering quality customer service.” For many Clay County residents also, the Summersville DMV office is much closer than the Flatwoods or Charleston locations.
