Nebo, WV – Alton Franklin Tanner, 64, of Nebo passed away August 6, 2013 at Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division.
Born September 26, 1948, he was a son of the late William and Vena Evelyn Jarvis Tanner. He was a former employee of Norton Environmental of Ohio.
Surviving are his daughter, Ramona White and her husband Tim of Reedy, WV; three brothers, Billie Tanner of Nebo, Carroll Tanner of Ohio and Jack Tanner of Sandyville; five sisters, Donnie Moore and Hope Nelson, both of Reedy, Martha Copley and Sue Armstead, both of Ohio and Zelma Long of Big Otter and a grandson, Daniel Beatty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Dude Greathouse and Helen McCune, three brothers, Jeff Tanner, Buck Tanner and Doy Tanner.
A memorial service was held Sunday, August 11 at 2 pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Rev. Dewey Tanner will officiate. Interment of the cremated remains will be on the Tanner Family Farm at Nebo.
