It is always good to see local businesses use county resources when it comes to advertising, events, logos, and so on.

One local business has done just that in choosing their new logo. Clay Senior Center recently changed their name to Clay County Senior and Community Services, Inc.  While doing so, they decided to reach out to the students participating in Mrs. Kerr’s advanced art class offered at Clay County High School for some help.

In looking for a new logo to accompany the new name, they offered a logo contest where cash prizes would be awarded.  The winning design would be the new logo for the center. With this in mind, the students got to work, putting their artistic abilities to the test. Three students stood out and presented logos that caught the staff’s attention.

In third place was Mackenzie Sears, second place went to Allison Jackson, and the first-place winner was Alexis Blake. These girls worked hard to present original ideas that would represent Clay County Senior and Community Services, Inc.  They were awarded prize money and recognized by the CSCS staff at the high school’s award ceremony in May.  CSCS would like to thank Mrs. Kerr and Clay County High School for allowing the students to participate.  Every student done a wonderful job.
