Lady Panthers unstoppable against Lady Eagles

Kacey Butcher was burning the net. Allen Hamrick photo.

The Lady Panthers went 1-1 this past week, losing a tough one to Lincoln County. However, they followed that up with a stomping of Braxton County.

Their last meeting was a slow game and very low scoring but not this one. Kacey Butcher came in guns loaded and her sights were dead on scoring 20 points with most of them coming in the first half with a three point shootout. She knocked down 6 three pointers and then went in defense mode and let the other players take their shots. They did just that. Marissa Williams popped the boards with 15 points, followed by Erica Boggs with 14. The girls will be in action at home on Tuesday night against Nicholas County, which is always a good game. There are just a few games left in the season for both teams. Come out and support them; they’re playing some good basketball.
