The CCHS Cross Country team continued their run for the gold at the Calhoun Invitational. The CCHS Cross Country team has not been around too long but they are definitely making their presence known in the running world. The team continues to grow with top notch runners.
Coach Ron Starcher keeps them working hard and learning different techniques on how to run fast consistently and it is showing each time they race.
The Calhoun Invitational was no different – the girls team ran their legs off and placed first overall. The boys placed second overall. Trevor Armes once again was in the top five, placing second. Sharina Ratliff placed fifth overall. Seven of the boys medaled, and 11 of the girls took home gold.
Congratulations to both teams on a great race. They will be on the course again at the Capitol Raising the Bar Invitational on Wednesday, October 5, starting at 6 p.m.
