Commission President Mike Pierson and Commissioners Jerry Linkinoggor and Arlene Tucker present the keys for the new ambulance to Director Bev King. Through a USDA grant, the Clay County Commission was able to purchase a new ambulance for the county. The community facilities economic impact initiative grant provided $25,000 in funds towards the purchase of the new ambulance. A used unit was also traded in to reduce the out of pocket expense for the county, which in the end totaled only $37,000.00. The new ambulance was delivered to the Clay Ambulance Authority this week and was added to the fleet of emergency vehicles used to serve the residents of Clay County.
