The 7th Annual Fola Halloween Maze will be held on October 20, 21, 27, and 28 from 6-10 p.m. and October 31 from 6-9 p.m. There is still no charge for the maze, but donations of canned food are requested to be used for Christmas boxes. The maze is at 1120 Fola Road, Bickmore. Not responsible for accidents! Strobe lights are used, but if you let us know they are a problem we will accommodate you.
Join the Clay County Health Department for an evening of great food, dancing, and friends while raising funds for breast cancer awareness on Saturday, October 14. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner starts at 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per plate. The dress code is whatever makes you feel beautiful! The event will be held at Clay Elementary, 219 Church Street. Boy Scout Troop 123 is managing the pick your own apples event on Sizemore Farm every Saturday while the apples last. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price is $15 per bushel. Winesap and Golden Delicious trees are producing this year.

The meeting schedule for CAEZ board meetings in 2017 is as follows: Tuesday, Dec. 5. Meetings will be held in the Clay County Courthouse Commission Room. The Economic Development Committee meets at 4 p.m. and board of directors meets at 6 p.m.

The Clay County WIC office located at 452 Main Street in Clay is open to serve the public every Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. All Central WV WIC offices will be closed October 9 in observance of Columbus Day.WIC provides supplemental foods and nutrition education to qualifying participants.
