A main water line on Main Street in Clay busted early Tuesday morning, causing water outages throughout the town. The street in front of Rite Aid became a construction area as crews worked to repair the damage. Activity buses were returned home when extracurricular activities at the school were cancelled, legal proceedings at the courthouse were rescheduled and many businesses were forced to close due to the unexpected water interruption. The Town of Clay worked diligently and was able to restore water service by late Tuesday afternoon.
