Dirt track racing is returning to Clay County! Construction of the Clay County Speedway is currently underway in Glen, WV. Owners Danny Starcher and Darius Cummings are doing all of the work, building the race track themselves, day by day. The nearly 3/8 mile track is slated to be open for racing in May 2014 and has the potential to become Clay’s premiere weekend activity.
The first driver’s meeting for the Clay County Speedway is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 10 at the track site which is located on Red Rock Lane in Glen, close to the old Glen post office.
