WVU Braxton/Clay Master Gardeners continue their community project in Duck, WV. On April 22, 2023, Earth Day, master gardeners and trainees gathered in Duck. The group has been working with the Clay County Department of Highways to Adopt-A-Spot in Duck. The group cleaned the area beginning at the intersection to Rt. 4 traveling toward the Nottingham Bridge that crosses Elk River. Members gathered bags of trash and debris. This program will be an ongoing effort with additional cleanups of the “spot.”
