Hey young sportsman, got your fishing pole ready?
Saturday, April 13, is the big day for the Wallback Lake Youth Fishing Derby, which is open for kids ages 3 thru 14. The event starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday. There will be free fishing, drinks, snacks and giveaways.
The schedule is as follows:
Preschool–K: 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
1st and 2nd Graders: 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
3rd, 4th and 5th Graders: 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
6th Grade up to 14 years old: 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
There will also be a T-shirt design contest for the 5th graders county-wide, sponsored by Clay FRN and Health Department. Watch for the winners announcement next week.
