From March 21 through March 24, 2018 the Clay County Middle School and Clay County High School TSA teams traveled to Cedar Lakes for the state competition.
Led by their Advisor Jessica Ramsey, thirty nine middle school students and twenty-nine high school students boarded two yellow school buses and headed toward victory. TSA is the Technology Students Association. That means students work and learn about STEM, or the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The competitions are all strategy, problem solving or research based, and leave no time for goofing off, well may be a little in between competitions. Each of the students worked many hours perfecting their projects. Their hard work and dedication paid off. This year’s conference theme was Celebration of Success, and our students certainly have a lot of success to celebrate. Clay County Middle captured eleven first place, seven second place, and seven third place victories. Clay County High School captured six first place, six second place, and five third place finishes. Twenty-three middle school students and thirteen high school students earned the honor of attending the national TSA competition in Atlanta, GA, on June 22-26, 2018. Our outstanding Mustangs and Panthers made use very proud! Winners were as follows:
