This past week was a fun time at Clay Library!
Many kids gathered for a couple hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the Summer Reading Program. Each day the kids learned about something different. They had a craft each day, as well as a snack. Throughout the week the kids learned about vegetables and how they grow, they played games about vegetables, and learned about how they are different.
The kids learned about cows one day, and how to make butter and ice cream, and even got to practice milking a cow that was set up just like a real one! The kids loved getting to make their own foods. The ice cream was a huge hit, as well as the butter! They got to make catapults one day, as well as puppets. It was so much fun and the kids enjoyed themselves and learning. Thank you to the extension office and the library for providing this free and fun opportunity for the kids to learn.
