Spring is in the air and H.E. White students are ready to put their best foot forward.
The annual fishing derby was held at Wallback Lake this past weekend. Before this event, Clay County elementary students were given to the opportunity to take part in the t-shirt decorating contest, where fifth grade student Anna Johnston of H.E. White Elementary received honorable mention for her design.
On Wednesday, April 17, the H.E. White playground was filled with plastic eggs and prizes to win. Smiling faces made their way from their classes to enjoy the beautiful weather and hunt eggs, which were donated by the PTO and parents. Each class had the chance to win a golden egg filled with cash and chocolate bunnies.
The P.E class has continued their walk across America competition, and has now made it all the way across the country for miles walked. They are working toward their goal of walking back across by the end of the school year. The goal looks like one they will reach.
